Use the official office that created or keeps the Trinity County record. The sheriff receives requests for its arrest and incident material, while the District Clerk and County Clerk keep different criminal court files. Texas DPS controls statewide criminal-history products. This private resource cannot retrieve, change, or certify any of those records, so the contacts below route each request to its government custodian.

This Is Not a Government Office. This is a private reference resource. We cannot retrieve criminal records, perform official background checks, correct or remove a record, or accept an expunction filing. Those actions must go through the responsible government office.

Trinity County requests should be directed according to the record type:

  • Felony case files: contact the District Clerk, 219 W. First Street, P.O. Box 549, Groveton, TX 75845; 936-642-1118
  • County misdemeanor files: contact the County Clerk, 211 W. First Street, P.O. Box 456, Groveton, TX 75845; 936-642-1208
  • Arrest, jail, and sheriff records: send a focused Texas Public Information Act request to the Trinity County Sheriff's Office
  • State criminal history: use the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division
  • Police incident reports: request the report from the city, sheriff, school police, or state agency that created it
  • Expunction or nondisclosure: confirm the proper filing court and current requirements with the relevant clerk

The sheriff does not publish a separately named records division or dedicated request portal. Direct a written request to the Trinity County Sheriff's Office, 209 W. First Street, P.O. Box 95, Groveton, TX 75845, 936-642-1424. The county directory lists Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for several offices, but department pages do not repeat hours consistently. Call the sheriff or clerk before visiting.
