A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When an email is sent to us, we retain the message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Trinity County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. It publishes general directions to records held by the Trinity County sheriff, criminal courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Government records are subject to their own access rules, including the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, and criminal-history dissemination limits in Government Code Chapter 411. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal file.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes shown on this website. Data submitted through a tool is handled under that provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider determines its own retention and disclosure practices. Review those terms before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Texas agency websites, legal resources, or third-party tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination's privacy policy controls that visit. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may use activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems, not ours.
