1. What This Website Is

Trinity County Criminal History is an independent reference website. It is not operated by Trinity County, the City of Trinity, the City of Groveton, the State of Texas, or any court or law-enforcement office. The site does not keep official criminal records, perform official background checks, retrieve government files, or submit documents for a user.

Its role is to direct readers to custodians such as the Trinity County Sheriff's Office, the District and County Clerks, municipal courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Links may also lead to outside search services. Each government office, not this website, controls its official records and release decisions.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the website, you agree that you will not:

• Use its content in violation of federal, Texas, or local law
• Stalk, intimidate, harass, or threaten another person
• Use information for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized access to the website or its systems
• Operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the pages
• Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information found here or through a linked tool to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate criminal or civil law. This restriction is especially important for information from the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 supports public-safety access, not vigilantism, retaliation, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination. A registry listing does not give anyone the right to approach, trespass against, or harm a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not prepare consumer reports, credit reports, or screening reports. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a product designed to assess a job applicant, housing applicant, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. You agree not to use information from this website or a linked search feature to:

• Make a hiring, firing, or other employment decision
• Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
• Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
• Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit
• Carry out any other action regulated by the FCRA

A person who needs a check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must use an authorized official process through the Texas Department of Public Safety or a compliant consumer reporting agency, as applicable.

It cannot determine how a Trinity County charge, warrant, conviction, expunction under Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A, or nondisclosure order applies to a particular set of facts.
